Air-cooled condensing and cooling systems do not use any water for the cooling of steam in a power plant. The giant radiators significantly reduce a plant's water requirements and also lessen the amount of chemicals that are needed to treat the water. Though not effective everywhere, air-cooled condensers are used around the world, maintaining sustainable growth in power, while allowing other users to better utilize the limited water resources. This technology is deployed at sites such as Spalding.
