GMR Infrastructure Limited Completes Acquisition of 50% Stake in InterGen

Burlington, MA, October 14, 2008 – InterGen announced today that GMR Infrastructure Limited has completed its previously announced acquisition of a 50% interest in InterGen from AIG Highstar Capital II, L.P. and affiliates. GMR Infrastructure Limited now jointly owns InterGen with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (Teachers’). Teachers’ has been a 50% owner of InterGen since 2005.

Neil H. InterGen is a global power generation firm with twelve power plants representing a total generation capacity of 8,086 MW (6,231 net equity MW). InterGen’s plants are located in the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico, the Philippines and Australia. These facilities include 5,803 net equity MW in operation and 428 MW under construction.
