Tim Menzie Named Chief Operating Officer of InterGen
Burlington, MA, October 17, 2008 – InterGen today announced the appointment of Tim Menzie as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Menzie has been with InterGen since 1994. Prior to being named Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for the day-to-day management of 2,980 MW of InterGen assets in Europe. These assets include three operating power stations in the United Kingdom and two facilities, one in operation and one under construction, in the Netherlands. Previously, Mr. Menzie was InterGen’s Director of Corporate Treasury and the Assistant Corporate Controller, responsible for all corporate financial planning and analysis and all cash management activities.
“Tim has been at the forefront of the commercial and operations management of our key European assets and I look forward to having him expand that focus to our entire operating fleet,” said Neil H. Smith, InterGen’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Menzie replaces Mr. Daniel Rorabaugh who has left InterGen.
InterGen is a global power generation firm with twelve power plants representing a total generation capacity of 8,086 MW (6,231 net equity MW). InterGen’s plants are located in the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico, the Philippines and Australia. These facilities include 5,803 net equity MW in operation and 428 MW under construction. InterGen is jointly owned by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and GMR Infrastructure Ltd.
