Responsible for internal and external management reporting, forecasting and business planning, business partnering and investment decisions as well as ad hoc analysis to support the operating business.  An integral role within the BPA team and wider finance function also being responsible for the production of high quality management reporting to internal and external stakeholders including to senior management.

Job Summary

Principal responsibilities are described below:

Delivery of high quality information to internal & external stakeholders

  • Take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle:
  • Production of the monthly UK management accounts and management reports – understanding the key drivers of the business and communicating key points
  • Production of monthly corporate shareholder reports
  • Track against budget and company scorecard
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to challenge assumptions and results with confidence
  • Presenting results to both finance and non-finance teams
  • Working with non-finance functions and getting to know the operating business stakeholders is essential


  • Supporting annual business planning and quarterly forecasting cycle
  • Gathering and understanding of input assumptions from around the business
  • Utilise complex financial models, guided and supported by modelling experts
  • Analysis of outputs and communicating these across finance and the wider business

Decision support

  • Bespoke management information to support business decisions and one off projects as required by the business

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion continual review of processes and techniques in providing routine analysis and decision support
  • Familiarisation with best practices in this fiel).

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas verbally & in writing to both finance and non-finance teams

  • A self-starter with a desire to learn quickly and thrive in a high performance environmen


  • Professional Accounting qualification (CIMA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) essential


  • Strong excel skills beneficial
  • Systems knowledge of TM1 (IBM Cognos reporting tool) desirable but not essential
  • Introductory training will be provided and then “hands on” training on the job
