The Callide C power plant features high-efficiency supercritical boiler technology and is a joint-venture between InterGen, China Huaneng Group and CS Energy.

The turbine upgrade to Callide C in 2019 delivered better efficiency and increased capacity by 16MW, lowering carbon emissions intensity in the process. As older, less efficient plants come offline, Callide C is well placed to support the transition to our low carbon future.

Callide C plays a key role in the National Energy Market in Australia, providing low cost, reliable, dispatchable electricity with high levels of availability, as well as offering a range of other important services to the grid.
