Jim LightfootPresident & CEO
With 30 years of experience in the energy industry across generation, trading, distribution and retail, Jim brings a wealth of expertise to our business. Prior to joining InterGen, he held a series of senior global positions with E.ON, including divisional managing director and chief operating officer roles.
Jim’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Surrey. He is also a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, and a member of the Institute of Directors.
David MacDonaldGeneral Counsel +
David MacDonaldGeneral Counsel
A solicitor with 20 years’ experience in corporate and energy law. In private practice David advised clients in various sectors on mergers an acquisitions, corporate finance and joint ventures. He has experience across the energy sector, from upstream transportation and production to thermal and renewable power generation.
Before joining InterGen, David worked in private practice with Macfarlanes in London and McGrigors (now Pinsent Masons) in Edinburgh. He was previously regional counsel at InterGen, supporting our UK and Netherlands operating business.

A seasoned finance executive with over 25 years experience across senior roles in private equity leveraged environments and complex multi-location businesses, Paul also brings extensive acquisitions experience to our leadership team.
A chartered accountant holding an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Paul established his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers before going on to Deluxe Entertainment Services in LA where he was divisional CFO.

Our business operations in the UK include three gas-fired power stations totaling around 2.4GW, plus one 300MW open cycle gas-fired power station now under construction at Spalding, all of which Chris takes overall responsibility for.
An experienced energy sector professional, Chris previously worked as global director of trading and commercial operations, and commercial director for the UK and Netherlands for InterGen. He holds an MBA from Edinburgh University.

Taking overall responsibility for our 850MW Millmerran power project and the 920MW Callide C power project, Brent previously held the role of chief financial officer for InterGen Australia. Prior to joining our business, he was an associate director with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
